As I walk into my classroom, I am shaking like a Mexican jumping bean, because I don't know what my classmates will think of what my dad does for a living.
My daddy explains why he is following a long and proud male tradition in his family.
It all began in rural Mexico around 1910. My daddy told us that for years, men had been fighting in the revolutionary war, but it was a group of women, led by my great great grandmother, Dona Adela, who would change his life...

Baby Brother Better

Baby Brother Better
Things are not the same since my baby brother came home.
I want to play marching band with my drums, but I can't because the baby is sleeping.
I want daddy to play with me, but he says he has to change the baby's diaper first. What are you feeding that baby anyway? YUK.
When mommy comes home from work, we always play dress up, but she can't now. She has to feed the baby.
That baby only likes to sleep, eat and go potty. How boring.
daddy says the baby will be playing with me in no time. Great. I'll have to share my toys with him.
mommy ask...

At Home With My Daddy
When I was born, my daddy decided to stay home and take care of me. mommy went back to work.

A Day With My Daddy

A Day With My Daddy
In the morning when I wake up, my daddy helps me get dressed and makes breakfast.
Later we go to the park where I play with my friends. daddy brings juice and snacks for me.
Then we walk to the grocery store to buy vegetables and fruit. sometimes I get a cookie from the bakery.
Back at home daddy cooks lunch. Chicken noodle soup is my favorite. It keeps my tummy warm.
I call mommy on the phone to tell her how much fun I'm having. She likes to hear my voice.
For my nap, I like to wear my pink pajamas. I try to get dressed by myself, but if ...

CHILDREN STORIES

My Parents Are Zombies

My Parents Are Zombies
Yep, it is official. my parents are zombies.
You know, the walking dead people from horror movies and Halloween tales.
Legends say that zombies are dead people that have been reanimated and can look and act almost like normal humans except for the lack of free will.
Some say that zombies are people under a state of near death, through a spell or magic potion.
My parents truly match these descriptions.
My Mom and dad walk around with ablank stare in their red bloodshot eyes.
They have shaggy looking clothes on, never ironed, and barely clean.
