A Day At The Park
father and
son can only stare at eachother and the same four walls before its time to meet some new faces in new places. So a friend of mine who is a
stay at home
mom told me about a
stay at home dad group that she heard of. So I checked it out, Austin
stay at home dads, and today we went for our first trip to the park. I highly recommend that other
stay at home
parents seek similar escapes to their daily routines. It was a nice break and a great chance to meet other
parents and learn from their trial by fires :).

Introducing Cereal Into Milk Or Formula
So my
son will be three months old in a couple of days, and is growing bigger and bigger each day. So while feeding we noticed that more and more often he would drink till he puked. Now our
doctor mentioned that he should be fine on just milk or formula till his 4 month visit. But I believe a lesson is to be learned at doctors advice and
parents intuition. I know when I puke after eating its one of three things; I was drinking too much, I got food poisining, or more probable in relation to my sons problem, I ate too much too fast because I was really hungry. Now of course this m...

Our First Day
So yesterday was our first day together. Yep,
mom went back to work. Fortunately we have had a little over 2 months together to get to know each other. Started off real well with normal napping and playtime and then at 2pm the crying started, he wasn't hungry, didn't need to be changed, wasn't gassy, I could only calm the savage beast by holding him. Not just holding him any old way, but the way that tends to make your arm fall off, kinda like right now

Going Swimming With The Baby
So we went to canyon lake and decided it would be fun to take the
baby for his first swim, and of course get lots of pictures. I wasn't sure how he would react to the water. He does love taking baths and more often than not falls asleep during them. I remember also how when I was growing up my
mom and dad took me swimming and I loved it. However, it was a long time before I ever was swimming without the assistance of floaties or on of my

Our Babies First Dance
Staying at home with your
baby can be very rewarding, however, you still need to find time for fun. So a couple of nights ago my
wife and I went out dancing. Now neither of us are great dancers but with
baby in hand we or maybe I should just say our
baby was the life of the party. Being that we are first time
parents this whole going out thing was a realization that some of the things we do may take a little practice and finess when bringing our
